1 Month today!

Yay! it's my 1 months post-op today. It's crazy to think that it's already been a full month! The week before surgery seemed almost as long as this past month :P haha. I have come so far already. I can pretty much take care of myself now. I still need help putting my shoes and socks on, I can't drive yet and I need help sometime making something to eat but everything I can pretty much do (shower, get up and down the stairs, in and out of bed and the car, dress myself, and I'm fully onto my crutches stage)

I am having a hard time with the fact that I'm still in a "limited mobility" stage. I can't go where I want, when I want and because I cant leave the house or stand on my left foot and leg for too long at one time, that puts me in bed/on the couch 85% of the day and it sucks. It's hard dealing with that all the time. I want to feel normal and get back to a normal life again but when your shower turns out to be the event of the day, that has a sucky feeling to it :( Before surgery I thought it would be nice to have a little "vaca" time, but honestly, it's boring. For me anyway. For the first 2 weeks it was nice but now... I'm ready to get back to my life. I want to be active and doing things with my day but when I spend it in bed, I feel depressed and that's not a good thing for me.

I guess the only good thing about having so much time on my hands is that I'm getting a lot of wedding planning done. Saturday was a big day. I bought my wedding dress, Jacob and I went to the mall to buy my wedding band, and we decided we were going to take the location we have been looking at for out ceremony and reception! So that was pretty exciting. Now I'm looking at favor ideas, flowers, cakes and centerpiece ideas.

I'm ready to get back to work. My manager came over the other week to watch a movie and hang out. It was so good to see her and catch up. Krista, you rock! Last week, I also went in to see my other managers and say hi and it was so great to seem them too! I spent about an hour up there shopping and talking. I can't wait to go back full time (but it might take a few weeks to work back into full time mode.)

Ok well it's getting late and I should head to bed. I'll update later this week when I get my X-rays of my new hip.
